Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori an annual celebration for all New Zealanders to show their support for the Māori language, an official language of Aotearoa.
At Nelson Public Library, we are presenting the events to celebrate and reflect the commitment of embracing and learning te reo Māori into the future.

Sunday 8 September 1 - 3pm, Elma Turner Library
Join us to discover and learn about the traditional Māori craft. Community educator, Prashanti, will guide us to explore the techniques, materials and cultural significance. All skill levels welcome. Material provided. Bookings required.

Small Time

Join Te Ata for a very special Small Time session with a focus on Te Reo Māori. Designed for 0–2-year-olds, Small Time combines songs, rhymes and stories into a free, fun 20-minute programme.
