How many items can I borrow?
You can borrow up to 35 items.
Can I renew items?
Sorry, we don't renew items. The loan period is 4 weeks on all items except DVDs and CDs. You can keep items past due date for 30c per day per item (children's items are exempt from this charge).
How do I know when my library items are due back?
There are lots of ways to check your library account:
- Keep the printed receipt from when the items were issued
- Check your account with our online catalogue
- Check your account with the BookMyne app
- Call 03 546 8100 for our automated phone service and follow the instructions
- Create a free account with Elf to receive email reminders before items are due
How do I place a hold/reserve?
You can place holds on items online with our catalogue, or you can come into the library and ask at the front desk.
Can I borrow a book from another library?
Yes. Please visit our Interloans page.
How much is it to borrow DVDs and CDs?
DVDs are $2 for 2-weeks. Non-fiction DVDs and CDs are free for 2-weeks.
Can I return my books to any library?
You can return items to Elma Turner Library, Stoke Library or Nightingale Library Memorial.

How do I join the Library?
Easy! Please visit our Join the Library page.
What is my PIN number?
Come into the Library and ask a staff member about your PIN. Alternatively you can reset your PIN online.
I've lost my library card
Please notify us as soon as possible and we will block your account until you can come in and collect a new library card. Replacement cards are $2.50.
Do you have free WiFi?
Yes, free WiFi is available at all our libraries.
Can I book a computer?
Yes, at the library. Library members book using their Library card and PIN, visitors can collect a guest pass from the front desk.
Do you have a printer?
Yes. We have black and white printers with photocopying and scanning available. Printing costs 20c per page.
